Name: Christopher Patterson
Program/Year: Bioresource Engineering, U2
What to do if you encounter a shark: Be like Steve Irwin: get super close and mess with it. It always worked for him (wait...)
Must-eat in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue: The pizza place next to the sketchy tattoo parlor. It's the perfect place for a terrible first date
You're not a Mac student until you've...: Been heckled by downtown people for being a Mac student
Must-see place in Montreal: I mean if you have money go to the Biodome or Ecole Privee or some fancy place. But if you're like me and completely broke with no semblance of class, Peel Pub is pretty lit
Essential froshie gear: Water isn't the only hydration option! Grab yourself a gatorade or some iced tea; you don't have to be sad all the time...
Most looking forward to this Frawsh: Real talk though I'm pretty pumped to see everyone come together like we do every year. At the beginning of the week yeah everyone's a little awkward and shy but then within a few days you're in a school bus screaming "we are all best friends" (which we are it's not even a chant) and pounding back water bottles without a care in the world. Believe me, we WILL be all best friends by the end of this thing, and that’s pretty heckin' cool
Frosh tip: Talk to as many people as you possibly can; Mac is the type of community where if you put yourself out there it's more than possible to know and be friendly with EVERYONE. Use frosh to take advantage of that, cause there's no better feeling than walking around campus a week into your program and knowing almost everyone around.
