Transportation Options

Macdonald Intercampus Shuttle bus

 The Mac Shuttle bus is a free service provided by the MCSS and McGill to help breach the gap between both campuses. It runs during the daytime, on weekdays, and operates on a first-come-first-served basis. A McGill Student ID card is required. COVID-19 measures are currently in place to ensure safety. See the website for the current schedule.

Departures:
Macdonald Campus: Centennial Centre parking lot
Downtown Campus: 688 Sherbrooke Street. (The south side of Sherbrooke Street, 20 metres west of University St., west of the 24 bus stop, between the McCord Museum and 688 Sherbrooke).

Société des Transports de Montréal (STM): Montreal public transit

The Montreal public transit system includes a network of city buses, a subway, and shared taxibuses. Many stops coincide with the EXO train system. Tickets can be purchased at the Uniprix pharmacy in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, paid with exact change on the bus, with cards at metro stations, etc. Student discounts are available with an OPUS card. EXO metropolitan trains and buses

Exo is operating public transit services by train and bus, as well as specialized transit in the Montreal Metropolitain Community. The exo network consists of five train lines, 52 stations, some 242 bus lines, 61 taxibus routes, and 66 parking lots offering 28,160 parking spaces and 3,585 bicycle spaces. The bus routes connect the STM to Montreal's suburbs, or offer routes within suburbs themselves.

SSMU DriveSafe

SSMU DriveSafe is a service run by the Student Society of McGill University. Our patrols drive students home safely to and from anywhere on the Island of Montreal and Kahnawake for free. The service is available Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Some South shore shuttles are also now available on Fridays and Saturdays.
