A Letter to 2021/22 Incoming Students

To the McGill incoming class of 2021-2022, 

Congratulations on your acceptance to McGill University! Though the circumstances may not be as expected, rest assured that our Frosh Coordinators are hard at work to make sure that we provide you with a warm welcome to the McGill Macdonald Campus Community! 

The university is transitioning back to in person activities and classes for the Fall 2021 academic semester in accordance with Quebec COVID-19 regulations. As a result, your Frosh 2021 Coordinators have decided and are pleased to announce that Frosh 2021 will follow a hybrid format and schedule. Each in-person event will have a simultaneous online equivalent in order to increase the involvement of students who may have restrictions preventing them from participating in such events.
All of our events will strictly adhere to Quebec and Canada’s COVID-19 safety guidelines, as well as to McGill’s equity, anti-violence, and harm reduction policies. Our first priority is the safety of our Froshies and staff, and these regulations will help us maintain a healthy and welcoming environment for our community.

This news is contingent upon the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic come August, when Frosh occurs. As of now, the situation in Quebec is improving steadily. However, due to the unpredictable nature of the current pandemic, programming could change depending on the province’s progress towards loosening restrictions.

No matter what Frosh looks like, our goals for Macdonald Campus Frosh are unchanged. We cannot wait to welcome you to the fun and inclusive community that McGill Macdonald Campus has to offer, and we hope to see you in the Fall!
